Our Preschool Spanish Lessons
Includes one fun activity per week (5 days per week).
Some of the fun activities for week 2 will be to print out the story about the three pumpkins – tres calabazas and read it to the children. After the story the children will have a fun activity using the three pumpkins.
The children will learn the words grande calabaza (big pumpking) and peque¿a calabaza (little pumpkin), by playing a fun game with the words big and little. Children will work on learning their numbers 1, 2 and 3 (uno, dos y tres)
by rolling the cube die and seeing how many pumpkins they get. This is a fun "hands on" math activity for the children to learn their numbers.

Print out the pumpkin shapes book. Read the story to the children, it's about a witch's garden that grows pumpkins that are different shapes.
After the story the children will play a game and pick which shape pumpkin (calabaza) they want to use.
During week 3 the children will also read the story about What Is Froggy Wearing? ¿Qué lleva Froggy?
After the story they will play a game where they will dress the frog.
They will be learning the words hat (el gorro), coat (el abrigo), scarf (la bufanda), mittens (los mitones),pants (los pantalones) and boots (las botas).

One Fun Activity Each Day (five days per week)
Plan on spending about 15 – 25 minutes each day teaching the children Spanish.
We have a lot of fun hands on activities for a fun Halloween week. Teacher will print out the "How Many Are On The Broom? story and read it to
the children. After the story the children will play a game to help them
learn their numbers 1, 2 and 3. They will have fun playing a number game where they put cats on the witches broom.¿Cuántos gatos están en la escoba? ¿Uno, dos o tres?
The teacher will read the story Los Monstruos (print out the book) to the children, tell the children not to worry these are friendly monsters. After the story they will
play a game game to help teach them the colors green, orange and white.

After the story they will play a game game to help teach them the words el pelo (hair) los hojos (eyes) la nariz (nose) and la boca (mouth)
Another fun Halloween activity for this week are the Halloween pictures. Teacher will print these out and show the children four of the Halloween pictures.
Three will be the same, one will be different. They will pick out the card that is different by touching it and saying esta or este (this one).
